Edmonton International Film Festival (EIFF) showcases high quality short and feature films from around the world — but many movie-loving Edmontonians don’t realize that EIFF is an Oscar-qualifying festival, showing some of the biggest films of the year before they hit the mainstream market. To entice local cinephiles, this campaign imagined iconic movie scenes in juvenile form, enticing people to ‘see them before they’re big’. The creative ran on billboards, street posters, digital ads, and pre-roll video placements at Landmark cinemas across the city — creating awareness of what attendees can expect from their experience at EIFF while also building awareness of the festival itself.
